Community Engagement/Content Creation Intern
With Jibby Coffee, I was able to expand my experience in commercial content creation, working on a variety of content ranging from UGC personality style videos to stylized ad content. I was also able to help with new product development strategies and community outreach, creating a focus group for sampling products.
Short Form Video
At Jibby, my internship began focused in short form video content creation. Through learning their brand and style, while also focusing on their four content pillars, I was able to make a variety of videos all with individual goals of educating, entertaining, inspiring, and promoting.
In my process of video creation, I have furthered my strengths in TikTok’s editing software, Final Cut Pro, and video creator app extensions like CapCut.
Graphic Ad Content
Following our design guidelines and using our brand assets, I created a variety of graphic ads. In the creation, we tested different phrases and copy ideas to see what best captures the viewers attention as they scroll. Creating these ads grew my comfort with quickly turning out ad content and using Final Cut and Canva video editing to work with motion graphics.
UGC Ad Content
In addition to Graphic Ads, I explored and created User Generated Content and stock footage based ads for Jibby. Using our content pillars, we focused on educating and entertaining through the each one, reaching a variety of audience through a variety of content styles. Creating these videos strengthened my knowledge of the current state of video advertising and how to entertain while also pushing a message to the viewer.
Community Engagement
In my time with Jibby, one of my goals was growing our community engagement through product development. Getting our active customers' opinions is highly important when creating new products and working towards a stronger and larger community base. As we tested for new products, we used polling and community interaction to develop future Jibby products.
From here, we began selecting a focus group and sending samples to them. I dealt with communicating with the 80+ members, gathering contacts and answering any questions. In the process, I wrote the copy for what our communication looks like, created the graphics that our developers see, and gathered data from the group. Using Jibby’s brand guidelines and assets, along with stock images and my own creative direction, I created a series of posts to communicate with our followers and testing group.
